Canyonlands and Arches, Museum of the West and Grand Junction

On Labor Day weekend we visited more of the beauty of Utah. We travelled down south to Canyonlands and then to Arches which are both National Parks . Starting off with Canyonlands. We also checked out Grand Junction which is in Colorado and visited the Museum of the West and some of the town.  We finished off with Arches.  National Park, .

Canyonlands- This National part is a wonder to behold,  it has vast caverns and rock formations which stretch out as far as the eye can see. We did not even explore all of it which leaves more for another time.

These young kids were pretty fearless considering how high up they were .
I couldn't go that close to the edge.

Grand Junction/ Museum of the West.

We had never been to Grand Junction and decided to check it out and see what we could find. We already knew we wanted to see the Museum of the West.. This Museum has a great collection of artifacts from Native American tries, wild west pistols, and frontier and mining life. Its worth stopping in as it gives a nice picture of how life was in the earlier days of Utah.

Grand Junction

Grand Junction was a delightful city to visit, we did not know what to expect. We had chosen a diner to go eat at which had a 50's theme to it. Very nice breakfast and a charming place to go to.if you stop by Grand Junction check this place out.

We were also treated to lots of outdoor art which were outside of the businesses on main street. All kinds of subjects and artist this was a fun way to see art for free.

Dinosaurs...

Oh yeah we also went and saw a dinosaur museum was which cool but I thin that Thanksgiving Point out does them in terms of how much you get to see and certainly the Natural History Museum at the University of Utah... but it was neat and we got out of the blazing heat...

Arches

Our final major stop in our trip, we did some side things also ( for another post)  Arches National park is a wonder to see.  Like Canyonlands it has alot of rock formations of all kinds and over 2000 arches .

Delicate Arch

Balanced Rock

It was alot to pack in for the long weekend but we enjoyed it alot.  Utah is a beautiful place and these vast parks are allowed to be protected so they can remain that way.. If you have not travelled to these National Parks I encourage you to do so.  Man could not make such amazing rock formations which have stood the test of time.
Stay tuned form more EV car adventures!
